Baltorp Bykvarter

Baltorp Bykvarter is a renovation project of a former municipality office in Ballerup. The landscape is transformed from primarily being a parking lot to a green and recreational collective green space for the residents. The site will be lush with wild flowers, small flowering trees and shrubs – all native species. The new parking space is a well-integrated element of the landscape and creates a more harmonious transition from hard surfaces to soft. The housing on the ground floor has direct access to the outdoors from their balconies. On the north of the site a larger oblong green and lush area stretches out. Here you can find a playground, seating areas for eating or resting, and a wild flowering rainwater bed. Surrounded by a wild and dense existing scrub.
