Rud Pedersen

Danielsen Spaceplanning has designed Rud Pedersen and King Street’s new office at Christians Brygge. The public affairs company moved into an old building in Copenhagen in the beginning of the 20th Century and the main goal for us was to recreate the buildings traditional condition and spirit. By achieving this, we designed high wall panels, removed carpets and reestablished the traditional herringbone floors. Furthermore, we tried to preserve the existing stucco where it was possible. This complete gut job was carried out by Steen Jensen, Danielsen Spaceplanning and PPlus.

In addition to managing the building process, Danielsen Spaceplanning was also hired to design Rud Pedersen’s office and their sister company, King Street. Due to confidentiality needs, the spacplanning focused on closed offices where the employees work alone or in teams. In the kitchen lounge, high back acoustic chairs were placed and build-in privat rooms were placed throughout the space, for secluded meetings or online calls. In the basement Danielsen Spaceplanning designed a large café/canteen for events, lunch and other activities hosted by Rud Pedersen and King Street. The café is multifunctional and can be transformed into a seminar/conference room. The space has an open blue celling where the original stucco shows and we designed custom benches, kitchen and kitchen island/bar.

The design process contained defining textiles, wall coverings, curtains, acoustic solution, custom build-ins, analyzing brand identity and furnishing fitting the client’s needs.

We are very proud to present this transformation project.
