Scandic Hotel Meatpacking district

Danielsen Spaceplanning has been in charge of the interior of parts of the Scandic Hotel in Copenhagens meatpacking district. We have done the interior design of the lobby, reception area and room interior in close collaboration with Danielsen Architecture and Stockholm Koncept.

The purpose of the interior design of Scandic Hotels on Skelbækgade was to establish a synergy between the hotel’s functions and the cultural life of the meatpacking district. We have created the open and inviting lounge environments, which are connected to the Lobby and the restaurant environment. An interior design concept was also developed for the conference segment, meeting center and co-working areas. The open ground floor, forms a transition between the urban outdoor environments and the hotel’s hospitality features. The lobby and reception area are a flexible environment for both residents and visitors, close to the bar and restaurant with access from the street. The conference segment faces the inner courtyard. Danielsen Spaceplanning has primarily been responsible for the overall layout of the interior, where much emphasis has been placed on programming the infrastructural and functional flows, for staff as well as hotel guests.
